In March 2007, after 10 years, Sweet Sensation's pastry chef and owner Steve Watts decided it was time to expand and provide the community with not only the cakes and pastries that have served loyal customers for 12 years but also with a new and unique experience. The new pastry shop and café, located next door to his original location, now offers customers new signature sandwiches, a full service coffee bar, ice cream bar featuring Round Top Ice Cream, home made soups, delicious entrees, fantastic salads, desserts of all kinds & a fine selection of beer and wine.  Free high speed wireless internet access is available at the cafe too.

The new building includes a beautiful outside columned patio with views of Mount Battie and an interior that offers patrons a casual elegance including a six-foot, see-through open hearth fireplace.

3 Dogs Cafe is open 7 days a week year round and we have plenty of parking and are handicap accessible. The cafe is also a great place for private functions, Christmas parties and other events.

Call ahead for take out for anything from our menu, baked goods and deserts.  You may call ahead to order a celebration cake - 24 hours notice is preferred.  Please contact Steve directly for information on wedding cakes. (207) 230-0955.

Why 3 Dogs Cafe? Owner Steve Watts and his partner, Keith Stone, are rarely far from their three labs: Marcus Agrippa, Gaius Caesar, and Germanicus Caesar (Stone was a history major with an interest in Roman history). The new cafe logo is hard to miss - three labs in a dory.  The fourth black lab is Drusus.
